Summary of the latest Skål meeting on 26.1.2012 at Jalta Hotel
1. Thanks to Mr. Kačerovský and his team for hosting us at his hotel – it was for the
first time ever that a SKAL luncheon was hosted at the Jalta Hotel.
2. Thanks to Mr. Pos, our member, for his interesting presentation about Prague
airport.
3. President Heinz Reigl had a short speech focusing on the main event to come in
February – AGA on the 23rd February at the Andel´s Hotel. He also welcomed all
guests and introduced shortly the presentation of Mr. Pos.
4. Our birthday children this month are Wolfgang Teufl and Werner Koppel.

Summary of the traditional Christmas Dinner held at Pachtův Palác on the 15th December, 2011
Many thanks to Jiří Gajdošík and his team for hosting us at the magnificient Pachtův
Palác. We have enjoyed the wonderful venue with its unique location and history,
including the hot wine and chestnuts welcome in the garden.
President Heinz Reigl welcomed the guests and had a short speech focusing on the
activities of the Club in 2011. He mentioned the Skål International Executive
Committee Meeting in Prague in January which was a great success. He also touched
upon the necessary changes that were requested by our members and have been
adopted on the February Annual General Assembly. Unfortunately, there were some
tragic happenings as well, with Bill Alguire being in a life-threatening situation, and
so we all sent our thoughts for him to recover soon. Heinz Reigl promoted our raffle
which this year has – again – received a wide support from our members. This time,
it was enriched by two sets of gift vouchers worth 10.000 CZK each, for shopping in
the Paladium Shopping Mall, paid by the Club. He also thanked the “non-member”
sponsors: ADA Cosmetics, Julius Meinl, Nektar Natura, Dolonea and Mr. Gajdošík
sr. for his special “slivovice”. As every year, also this time all the collected money
from the raffle will be donated to children in need and the information about it will
be delivered to all members. A big THANK YOU to all who have opened up their
hearts and vallets. And finally our best wishes for 2012:

1. SKAL Christmas Dinner
will be held on Thursday
15th December from 19.00 at Pachtův Palác
The programme will be following:
Welcome drink in the garden with hot wine and childrens' choire singing Christmas carols
Seated gala dinner with the following menu:
Christmas Raffle (collected money will be donated to a children´s home in Bohemia) – apart from traditional prizes, we will this year have a special surprise for the grand prize! Just like every year, also this time spouses or friends are more than welcome.
Report from SKAL meeting held 24th November 2011
1. Many thanks to William Lobkowicz and his team for hosting us at the magnificient Lobkowicz Palace. We have enjoyed the wonderful venue with its unique location and history, eventhough the weather was not really inviting to spend time at the terrace.
2. President Heinz Reigl welcomed the guests and had a short speech focusing on the main goal of SKAL – “Doing business among friends”. He encouraged all members to use this opportunity not only within our club but also worldwide.
3. William Lobkowicz gave a short insight into the recent history of their Palace and family.
4. Our guest speaker for this event was George Lewis from Jones Lang LaSalle company, expert on capital markets. He pointed out that although times are tough, Czech Republic has a good perspective from the investors´ point of view.
5. Our birthday children this month are – Miroslav Bukva, Manuel Jimenez Alonso, Petr Knoll and Samer Fawzy. Congratulations !

SKÅL INTERNATIONAL
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
has been hostet in our beautiful City of Prague from 28.1. till 31.1.2011 and was, so we understand, a great success. We have been very proud to welcome the Skål Int. President Tony BOYLE and the Executive Committee members and our Club members had some great time. Whilst the committe has been working very hard during the day we where, nevertheless, able to spent some time in the evening together. You can see from the pictures that this has thoroughly been enjoyed by all the participants.
We hope to be able to welcome many more Skålleagues and friends in Prague and the Czech Republic in the not to distant future.
